CF- How did you get involved in CrossFit?  

Shane: I got an app for my phone and started doing 15 min in my company’s gym on my own.

What was your first WOD experience?

Shane: Aug 3, 2016 2 min/45 sec. rest Burpees, Wall Balls 14lbs Ball, Jump Rope, Mt. Climbers 100 total reps then FS 35Lbs Run 100M rest 1 min X4

When did you realize CrossFit Glorified was for you?

Shane: The positive atmosphere and good coaching to make sure you don’t hurt yourself.  People encouraging you a coach pushing you even though you don’t think you’re ready and then finding out you can lift more and keep going even though you think you’re gonna die.

MASON B.

CF- How did you get involved in CrossFit?

Mason- My friend Johnny invited me to come with him.

CF- What was your first WOD/experience?

Mason- A sled pull.

CF – When did you realize CrossFit Glorified was for you?

Mason – When I started getting fitter and stronger.

CF- How did you get involved with CrossFit?

Angela- Came with friends, plus church family is very involved in CrossFit.

CF- What was your first WOD/experience?

Angela- 10 Jumping Jacks, 10 KBS, 5 rounds for time. (In a months time I improved my time by almost double)

CF – When did you realize CrossFit Glorified was for you?

Angela – After I started being able to do more at the farm. I enjoyed the coaching plus encouragement from coach Gus and all the CrossFit family.  It motivates me more each trip to the farm.

CF – How did you get involved with CrossFit?

David- My family and I were told about CrossFit Glorified by some friends at a picnic. Later we went to check it out and started that day.

CF- What was your first WOD/experience?

David- From what I remember, it was an AMRAP of just burpees.

CF- When did you realize CrossFit Glorified was for you?

David- After a few days in a row I was hooked.

CF-How did you get involved with CrossFit?

Leah- My daughter gave me a free voucher for a month.

CF-What was your first WOD/experience?

Leah- Ha Ha! Easy- only because he was teaching the movements. Boy, did that opinion change!

CF- When did you realize CrossFit Glorified was for you?

Leah- Within the first month – Love it!!

 

ISABEL H.

CF – How did you get involved in CrossFit?

Isabel – As a stay-at-home mom of three, I realized the importance of staying active in order to keep up with my children. My husband, brother and brother-in-law were all involved with CrossFit and thought I would enjoy it. I soon realized that it not only challenges me but it helps me to stay fit.

CF – What was your first WOD/experience?

Isabel – Unfortunately I don’t recall the actual first WOD but, I do remember the first WOD I jotted down which took place on October 15, 2013. It was 3 rounds of 20 KBS at 15 lbs. 25 OHS with a PVC pipe, 5 PP with 15 lbs. dumbbells and a 200 meter run. I finished in 10:37 and threw up after I was done. It took everything out of me. I thought I could never go back and do this again, yet, I went back.

CF – When did you realize that CrossFit Glorified was right for you?

Isabel – I love the convenience, and the ability to not be stuck inside the box all the time because the property allows for more opportunity to train outdoors.

 

AARON M.

CF-  How did you get involved in CrossFit?

Aaron- I started to get interested in CF in 2014, and once my wife and I moved to TN and found a home, I really wanted to find a box to plug into.

CF- What was your first WOD/experience?

Aaron- My first workout was on 08/12/2104 it was a Shoulder press (strict) 3,3,2,2,1 Loads 75,75,95,105, Failed 115, OHS 3,3,2,2,1 Loads 45,75,95,95, Failed 125, then Metcon: 8 min AMRAP 10 lateral hurdle jumps, 20 Mountain Climbers, result: 11 rounds

CF- When did you realize CF Glorified was right for you?

AaronI realized right away that CF Glorified was the right fit for me. The community of support that you feel when you walk in is so embracing and supportive. It’s awesome.

 

GARY H.

CF- How did you get involved in CrossFit?

Gary- A family member who was doing Crossfit invited me to one of the workouts, and also told me about the crossfit.com website

CF- What was your first WOD/experience?  

Gary- My first WOD experience was a couple of years ago. It was a chipper. That workout was probably the most challenging and taxing workout I ever did. I barely finished, but I wanted to go back for more.

CF-When did you realize that CrossFit Glorified was right for you?

Gary- pretty quickly as I really enjoyed doing the workouts and began to see improvements fairly quickly. Traditional gyms were not working. Crossfit teaches how to do the exercises properly and the community aspect is also a great encouragement.

 

AUBERY M.

CF-How did you get involved in CrossFit?

Aubery-I have friends who are in Crossfit and they suggested that I try it. I saw the Crossfit Glorified signs near my home so I looked it up and decided to give it a try.

CF- What was your first WOD/experience?

Aubery- I’m not sure what my first WOD was, but I came in and met Gary (Gus was out of town). Gary was very welcoming and explained everything very well. I am an avid runner, but the WOD’s gave me a workout that really tested my strength and endurance. Every WOD pushes me to my limits and I leave feeling tired, but good!

CF- When did you realize that CrossFit Glorified was right for you?

Aubery- After the first week, I felt like Crossfit Glorified was the place that I wanted to be. Everyone is very welcoming and it is more of a family atmosphere rather than just a place to workout.

ANDREW H.

CF-How did you get involved in CrossFit?

Andrew – I was told about Crossfit several times by friends. I didn’t think it was something I would want to commit myself to and I never really had a desire to do anything athletic. I also did not think I had the time. I was finally invited to come out and try it one afternoon with my pastor and his wife, and I actually liked it enough to try it out some more. Somehow I managed to plug it in to my schedule, and now it’s become part of daily life.

CF- What was your first WOD/experience?

Andrew- I don’t remember my very first WOD to be honest, but I imagine it left me wrecked and in shock. I do remember thinking about the ones I did in the beginning and always wondering…what makes anyone want to do this to themselves? Well, it didn’t take me to long to discover why. I realized I was getting better at it the more I came, and I savor the moment the WOD is all over with a sense of accomplishment and achievement.

CF- When did you realize that CrossFit Glorified was right for you?

Andrew- I think I realized Crossfit was right for me when I realized how out of shape I was, and how bad I was eating. I noticed when I ate better food and I stayed consistent in coming daily, the better I got at it, and the better it made me feel. Starting out, I was very humbled, especially when I saw I couldn’t come close to keeping up with people
older than me in every workout.

CF- How did you get involved in CrossFit?

Dray- I got involved in CF when I came with one of my friends to play soccer and workout one day.

CF- What was your first WOD/experience?

Dray- My first workout was an EMOM of 8 burpees and 6 squats for 12 minutes.

CF- When did you realize CF Glorified was right for you?

Dray- I knew CrossFit Glorified was right for me very soon as I started to workout there because I could tell I was performing better in sports.

CF- How did you get involve in CrossFit?

Bernardo- My son kept talking about it and saying its for everyone. It did not matter the age, gender or past injuries. After I saw him in action, I realized that all the surgeries that he had undergone, they did not stop him from doing all that he does,  it amazed me and I thought he is on to something.

CF- What was your first WOD/experience?

Bernardo- I truly don’t remember but, what I do recall was that I finished it.

CF- When did you realize CrossFit Glorified was right for you?

Bernardo- At 74 years old, if your not active, then it’s all down hill from there. My son scaled workouts that helped me go one step at a time and I’m now living a very active lifestyle. I play with my grandchildren, work at the farm and do so much more. I feel like I’m in my 30′s all over again.

JOSHUA J.

CF- How did you get involved in CrossFit?

Joshua – A friend of mine got me to try it out and I was hooked on day one.

CF- What was your first WOD experience?

Joshua – For time, 800 m run, 21 thrusters (scaled 65 lbs), 400 m run 15 thrusters, 200 m run 9 thrusters – completed it in 13:23

CF– When did you realize CrossFit Glorified was for you?

Joshua – As soon as I showed up, the energy and people there are awesome.  A truthfully wonderful box.
